Elowen Modern Opaline Ribbed Glass Ceiling Lamp
DESIGNER CONCEPT
An opaline ribbed drum on the ceiling.
This is a hardwired flush-mount ceiling lamp. A short white metal canopy holds a drum of opaline glass. Vertical ribs run around the shade. The bottom is smooth and frosted. In daylight the lamp stays off. This one sits on a plaster ceiling beside a linen curtain, a cane chair, and a wood shelf.
ROOMS AND GLOW
Off by day. On at night in the same living room.
The living room is one room. By day the drum is off. At night the lamp is on, and warm light softens through the opaline glass.
DETAIL DISPLAY
Ribs in the glass, and a thin white canopy.
The ribs are vertical and close. They catch soft shadow even when the lamp is off. The canopy is a slim white disc where the glass meets the ceiling.
Vertical flutes on the opaline glass.
Thin white metal disc at the ceiling.
