Soren Farmhouse Two-Tone Rattan Dome Pendant Light
DESIGNER CONCEPT
A two-tone rattan dome over the table.
This is a hardwired farmhouse pendant. Natural rattan and soft white fiber are woven into an open dome. A warm gold-tone rod and chain hold it from the ceiling. Three E12 sockets sit inside the shade. In daylight the bulbs stay off. This one hangs over a wood dining table by a bright window.
EXTERIOR DESIGN
A narrow neck, a banded dome, an open weave.
The shade starts tight at the neck and opens into a full dome. Vertical natural rattan ribs run the height. A chevron band of white and natural fiber sits on the upper body. Below it, a basket weave mixes white wraps with natural ribs. Thin braided rattan rings mark the transitions. Light can pass through the open weave and the bottom opening.
NeckVertical natural rattan, bound with horizontal wraps under the gold-tone rod.
BandA chevron two-tone band. Natural and soft white in a zigzag weave.
BodyOpen basket weave on the lower dome. Soft white wraps over natural ribs.
ROOMS AND GLOW
Off by day. On at night in the same living room.
The living room is one room. By day the dome is off. At night the three bulbs are on, and warm light filters through the open weave.
DETAIL DISPLAY
Gold-tone hardware, and a handwoven neck.
The chain and rod are warm gold-tone metal. The rod meets a gathered rattan neck. Vertical ribs flare into the dome. Soft white wraps cross the natural ribs where the weave opens.
Gold-tone links, loop, and rod.
Vertical ribs bound under the rod.
Natural ribs and soft white wraps.
